Quick Heal Foundation, Pune City Police, Expression Lab and Pankh have joined hands to organize the Cy-Fi Karandak, the competitive festival of One-Act Plays. The competition is part of a comprehensive project, Cy-Fi – The New Age Art Initiative, which in future intends to observe and focus on contemporary works of art that reflect Human Life in Cyberworld . The first among these is theatre.
Cy-Fi - New Age Art aims to create and enable a vibrant platform that portrays the impact of Digital Revolution on human life and facilitate a process of mass awareness around cyber security. In its endeavor to create awareness on Cybersecurity, Quick Heal Foundation, the CSR arm of Quick Heal Technologies Limited, the leading provider of IT Security Solutions in association with Pune City Police today announced the launch of Cy-Fi Karandak 2017, a first-of-its-kind competitive festival of offline and online one-act-plays aimed at creating a vibrant platform that portrays the impact of digital revolution on human life. The logo of Cy-Fi Karandak 2017 was unveiled at the hands of Kailash Katkar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, Milind Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EoW) & Cybercrime, Pune Police and Pradeep Vaidya, Director, Expression Lab.
Quick Heal Foundation, the CSR arm of Quick Heal Technologies Limited, the leading provider of IT Security Solutions in association with Pune City Police announced the winners of the first edition of ‘Cy-Fi Karandak 2017’ at a gala ceremony at Bharat Natya Mandir. ‘Vaat’ by ‘Prarambha’ was adjudged as the winner of the competition followed by ‘4th Dimension’ by ‘Unbox Pune’ and ‘Mission Perfection’ by ‘Jacaranda’ Pune.
The winners were felicitated at the hands Kailash Katkar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, Sudhir Hiremath, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EoW) & Cybercrime, Pune Police and Pradeep Vaidya, Director, Expression Lab. Renowned film and television personalities like Suyash Tilak, Parna Pethe, Girish Joshi and Sunil Sukthankar were present on the occasion.
Quick Heal Foundation supports programmes and organizations devoted to the cause of the destitute, the rural poor, and the economically disadvantaged sections of the society. The Foundation also helps spreading awareness about cybercrimes / online threats and safeguarding communities especially children and teenagers.
PANKH is individual social organisation. PANKH conducts life skills programmes in various schools, slum areas, remand home, and integrated areas. PANKH works for children of commercial sex workers, provides medical help and counseling for HIV/AIDS patients. PANKH runs counselling centres in schools. PANKH works in schools from rural areas like Tamhini, schools from slum areas as per the need.
Expression Lab is the name of Pradeep Vaiddya's theatre training initiative. In the last seven years, Expression Lab has been a training ground for actors. However, Expression Lab has also consciously become a medium of bringing important changes into the theatre world. Several innovative theatre-related projects were first launched by Expression Lab.
